FairPlay Registration OTP Problem: Why Resending Breaks It

If repeated OTP requests leave you stuck, learn why only the newest FairPlay code works and how to recover without creating more delays.

On a busy cricket evening in Pune, you open the FairPlay registration page, enter your mobile number, and wait for the OTP. It does not appear. You tap Resend, then tap it again when the next screen still looks blank. A code finally arrives, but the page rejects it. That is frustrating, and the repeated taps are often what made the situation worse.

The simple rule: the newest OTP is the live one

An OTP request is not a collection of equally valid codes. Each request starts a fresh verification attempt. For FairPlay registration, treat the code attached to the latest request as the only code to enter. An older code may be invalidated as soon as a newer request is created, even if the older SMS reaches your phone later.

SMS delivery can arrive out of order. A message from an earlier request may reach you after a newer request has already been made. The arrival order does not decide which code is valid. The request order does. Enter the digits belonging to the latest request, and ignore the older notification.

  • Look at the sequence of your resend taps, not just the order in which messages appear.
  • If two codes are visible, use the one generated by the most recent request.
  • If you cannot tell which code is newest, stop entering codes and wait for the resend option to become available.
  • Do not try several old codes in sequence. That creates more failed attempts and makes the problem harder to diagnose.

Why hammering Resend makes the problem worse

Each tap on Resend is a new server request. Sending many requests quickly can trigger protective throttling or temporary delays. This is meant to reduce abuse and mistakes, but it can feel as if the registration page has stopped working. It also gives the system several overlapping attempts to process.

Rapid resending can produce more than one code for the same number, deliver messages out of order, create a temporary cooldown, or leave a browser or app session showing an older request. These effects can overlap. More tapping does not clear them. It can add fresh requests to the queue and make it harder to know which code belongs to the current attempt.

  • Stop tapping Resend as soon as you suspect multiple requests have been created.
  • Wait for the resend control to become available again.
  • Request a fresh code once, then give the message time to arrive.
  • Use only the code from that latest request.

What to do when the OTP does not arrive

Start with the mobile number. Confirm that it is the number you can access and that it has been entered in the format requested by the page. If the field uses the Indian format, follow the on-screen example. Do not add both the country code and an extra leading zero.

  • Check your mobile signal and make sure the phone is not blocking messages.
  • Look in your regular SMS inbox, spam or filtered folders, and blocked-message list.
  • Search your messages for FairPlay or OTP in case the notification was filed away.
  • Wait until the resend option is available instead of repeatedly tapping a disabled button.
  • Send one fresh request and stay on the same registration screen.

Use the official FairPlay registration page rather than a link forwarded by another person. If you opened several tabs, switched devices, or moved between the website and an app, finish the process in one place. A stale session can make a correct code appear to fail.

If the OTP arrives but is rejected

Enter the newest code exactly as shown. Do not add the country code, spaces, or punctuation unless the field specifically asks for them. If the message says the code has expired, do not reuse it. Request a fresh code once and complete the entry promptly.

A code can also fail if the registration session has changed while you were waiting. Stay in the same browser or app session, keep the page open, and avoid submitting the form from another device. If the page looks frozen, pause before refreshing it, because a refresh may start a new session.

  • Check that the code belongs to the latest resend request.
  • Do not copy digits from an older notification.
  • Do not share the OTP with anyone, including someone claiming to be support staff.
  • If the same error continues after one fresh request, stop and move to support.

Check the page and your connection

A weak connection can delay both the request and the SMS. Use a stable mobile data or Wi-Fi connection, and avoid moving between networks during the verification step. If you are using the app, open it through the official FairPlay app page and make sure you are not following a lookalike link.

After registration, you can review the deposit and payment methods pages for the current UPI and rupee-denominated options. Do not follow a payment link sent by an unknown account while you are troubleshooting an OTP problem.

When to contact FairPlay support

Contact FairPlay support if you have stopped resending, requested one fresh code, used the newest code, and still cannot complete registration. Tell support the mobile number you used, the device or browser, the approximate time in IST, and the exact error shown. Do not send the OTP, your password, or a screenshot that exposes either.

Support cannot make an older or expired code valid. They can check delivery, account status, and the registration session, then guide you through a clean new request. Mentioning that you tapped Resend several times can help them understand why the flow was delayed.

After registration is complete

Once registration succeeds, use the official FairPlay login screen for future access. Keep your mobile number and account details private, and avoid saving an OTP in a message thread that other people can access.

If you plan to explore cricket, kabaddi, casino games, or other products, read the responsible gaming information before placing any activity-related decisions. A rushed account setup is never worth repeated OTP requests.
