How to Reset a Forgotten FairPlay Password

Follow the FairPlay password reset steps, understand why only the latest verification code works, and fix common delivery problems.

On a cricket evening in Chennai, you open FairPlay after work, enter your account ID, and find that your password will not work. You try the one you used last week, then an older version you may have changed months ago. After another failed attempt, the login screen offers password recovery. That is the point to stop guessing and use the official reset flow.

Repeated guesses rarely solve the problem and can make it harder to see what is happening. A password reset uses a fresh verification code sent to your registered contact method. Enter the newest code, create a new password, and then sign in normally.

Before Starting the Password Reset

Begin from the FairPlay login page rather than a link sent through an unknown message. This helps you avoid recovery pages created to collect account details. If you normally use the mobile service, the FairPlay app may display the same recovery option, although the screen layout can differ.

  • Use a stable mobile data or Wi-Fi connection. A weak connection can interrupt the request before the confirmation screen appears.
  • Keep the device that receives SMS messages or emails close by. The code must go to the contact details already registered with the account.
  • Do not create another account to bypass a forgotten password. A duplicate account can create further confusion with balances, bonuses, and future logins.
  • Avoid using a shared or public device for recovery. If you must use one, do not allow the browser to remember your new password.

FairPlay Forgot Password: Step-by-Step

The exact labels may vary slightly between the website, mobile browser, and app. The underlying process remains the same: identify the account, verify ownership, set a new password, and sign in again.

  • 1. Open the official FairPlay login screen. Enter your account ID or usual login identifier only if you remember it. Do not guess repeatedly if the identifier itself is uncertain.
  • 2. Look for the Forgot Password or equivalent recovery link near the password field. Select it to open the account recovery form.
  • 3. Enter the registered mobile number or email address requested by the form. Use the same country format and spelling you provided during registration. If you have changed contact details, use the details still linked to the account.
  • 4. Submit the recovery request once. Wait for an on-screen confirmation before checking your messages. If the page appears stuck, check your connection before tapping the button again.
  • 5. Open the SMS inbox or email inbox associated with the account. For email, also check spam, promotions, and junk folders. A delivery delay does not mean the request failed.
  • 6. Read the newest message and enter its one-time code exactly as shown. Leave out no digits, add no spaces unless the field requires them, and do not copy a code from an older message.
  • 7. When verification succeeds, create a new password. Choose one that is unique to FairPlay and not reused for email, banking, UPI, or other betting accounts.
  • 8. Return to the login page and sign in with your account identifier and new password. Test it before closing the browser or app.

If the recovery screen offers a choice between mobile and email, select the method you can access immediately. Switching repeatedly between methods can produce several messages and make it unclear which code is current. Follow the method selected on the screen until that attempt finishes.

Why Only the Newest Code Works

Each password-reset request creates a new one-time verification code. Once a newer code has been issued, the earlier code is no longer treated as the current credential. This is why a message that arrived first may stop working after you request another one.

This ordering is deliberate. It prevents an old code found in a shared notification panel, forwarded message, or compromised inbox from remaining useful after you have started a newer recovery attempt. The reset system therefore checks both the code itself and whether it is still the latest code issued for that request sequence.

  • If you requested code A and then code B, use code B. Code A may have been valid moments earlier, but it is not the current code.
  • If code B does not work, do not go back to code A. Check that you entered B correctly and confirm that its verification window has not passed.
  • If you request code C, code C becomes the newest code. Using B after that can produce the same rejection.
  • Do not mix a numeric code with a recovery link from a different message. Use the verification method shown in the newest relevant message.

Requesting several codes in quick succession can also cause delivery delays. Messages may arrive out of order, so the notification preview might show an older code while the latest message sits lower in the inbox. Open the messages and compare their arrival order instead of relying on the preview.

What to Do If the Code Does Not Arrive

A missing code is usually a delivery or contact-detail problem, not an invitation to keep pressing the request button. Give the first message a little time, then check the obvious places before starting another attempt.

  • Confirm that the number or email entered matches the one registered with FairPlay. A single wrong digit can send the code to someone else's contact account.
  • Check SMS blocking settings, email spam folders, promotions tabs, and junk folders. Search for FairPlay or the sender shown in previous account messages.
  • Make sure your phone has network coverage. Late at night in IST, congested networks can delay SMS even when ordinary browsing still works.
  • If email works but SMS does not, use the email option only if it is officially offered on the recovery screen. Do not enter an unregistered address.
  • Avoid making many requests at once. Multiple codes create confusion, and only the latest issued code should be used.
  • If the website fails to load, try the official app or another trusted browser. Do not follow a recovery link from an unsolicited call or message.
  • If you no longer control the registered number or email, contact official support. You will need to prove ownership before the contact method can be reviewed.

The FairPlay FAQ may answer basic questions about login and verification. If it does not resolve the delivery issue, use the official FairPlay customer support or contact page. Explain what you tried and provide the approximate time in IST, but never provide the verification code itself.

Creating a Password You Can Use Safely

A reset succeeds only after you set a new password. Do not make a small change to the forgotten one, such as adding a single number. Reuse is also risky. If the old password appeared in another service, someone testing leaked credentials could try it on your FairPlay account.

Use a longer password with a mix of letters, numbers, and symbols. Avoid obvious combinations based on a name, birthday, favourite cricketer, city, or kabaddi team. A password manager can generate and store a unique password, provided its master password is strong and kept private.

  • Do not reuse a password from email, UPI, banking, or another betting account.
  • Do not save the new password on a borrowed phone or shared computer.
  • Do not write the password beside your phone or store it in an unprotected note.
  • If you discover that the forgotten password was reused elsewhere, change it on those services too.

After signing in, review the account details and any available security or session controls. Confirm that the registered contact information is correct. If the interface offers a way to end unfamiliar sessions, use it and then sign in again on your own device.

A password reset should not require a deposit, a UPI payment, or a request to send rupees to an individual. If a page or caller asks for payment as a condition for recovering the account, stop and verify the request through official support.

When to Contact FairPlay Support

Contact support if the newest code is repeatedly rejected, the registered contact method is inaccessible, or the account shows activity you do not recognise. Support can check the account and guide you through the available ownership-verification process.

Give support useful details: your account identifier, the contact method registered with the account, the approximate request time in IST, the device or browser used, and the exact error shown. Do not send your password, one-time code, UPI PIN, or full payment details. If a screenshot is requested, cover any verification code or private financial information.

Once access is restored, use the FairPlay login page for future sessions and keep the recovery contact details up to date. If you normally switch between the website and app, test the new password on both before assuming the issue is completely resolved.
